Carob Strawberry Chia Energy Bar

  • ½ cup frozen strawberries (I recommend fresh) 
  • 1 cup pitted fresh dates (or soaked dried dates) 
  • ¼ cup raw carob powder (or raw cacao bits) 
  • ¼ hemp protein 
  • ¼ cup chia seeds
  • ¼ cup ground flax seed 
  • ¼ cup sunflower seeds
  • ½ tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tsp fresh lemon juice 
  • Sea salt to taste 
 Optional Ingredients:
  • ½ cup sprouted buckwheat (or cooked)
  • ¼ cup goji berries
  • 1 tbsp yerba mate 
  • Agave to taste (it makes it very sweet) 
  • Process everything except buckwheat in the food processor. (Recommended to start with the strawberries, especially if they are frozen, then dates, then everything else. 
  • After processing work in buckwheat with your hands. 
  • Shape and cut to the desired size. 
  • (You can store in little tinfoil bite size pouches) 
 Note: Refrigerate if not consumed right away.
